Below are the important dates to be aware of for the 2021 OMCA Marketplace. If you have any questions, please contact info@omca.com.

July 12th:
Appointment-Taking Registration Opens

Registration is open to all members looking to take appointments on the virtual appointment platform. As expressed, we decided on a virtual appointments format this year because the feedback from members indicated that virtual appointments would offer the most value to the most members.

September 1st:
MyOMCA Portal Opens

The marketplace MyOMCA portal opens for delegates to review, update, and perfect their profiles before other delegates can review it. We encourage all members to review what their profile looks like in the MyOMCA portal and curate it to be as useful to other delegates as possible.

September 13th:
MyOMCA Directory Goes Live

You will be able to see other delegates profiles and they will see yours. This is your chance to review the profiles of other delegates and make notes about who you want appointments with. The directory is available 2 weeks before appointment selection opens to give all delegates a fair chance to review and research, which will improve the quality of their face-to-face marketplace appointments.

September 25th:
Deadline to Cancel with Partial Refund

Cancellations of virtual appointment registrations made prior to or on September 25, 2021 are entitled to an 80% refund. There will be no refunds issued for cancellations made on or after September 26, 2021.
Note that cancellations for the in-person sessions on Nov. 3rd made due to changes in the COVID-19 situation can be made after this deadline.

September 30th:
APPOINTMENT REQUESTS GO LIVE!

The excitement begins! Request appointments with the buyers/seller that you are looking forward to talking to. Remember to order them from most preferred to least preferred as the scheduling algorithm will consider this when designing the appointment schedule.

October 19th:
Appointment Requests CLOSE

There are only 2 weeks to get your selections in and without them, you will either have very few appointments scheduled (sellers) or have a schedule fill with meetings that are of no interest to your operations (buyers). Get your selections in before October 19th to increase your chances of having high-quality appointments.

October 25th:
Schedules are release and manual scheduling opens

Your MyOMCA portal will give you access to your full appointment schedule and you will have the opportunity to manually request appointments with delegates that you hoped to meet with, but were not scheduled with. During manual scheduling, delegates must have matching appointment availability and requests must be manually accepted to be officially added to the schedule.

November 1st:
First Day of Marketplace

Buyers meet with Monday Sellers (DMOS) all day, with coffee breaks and lunch breaks in between. Tuesday delegates can participate in all non-appointment virtual events, such as morning remarks, sponsored breaks, and the online networking social.

November 2nd:
Second Day of Marketplace Appointments

Buyers meet with Tuesday Sellers (non-DMOS) all day, with coffee breaks and lunch breaks in between. Monday delegates can participate in all non-appointment virtual events, such as morning remarks, sponsored breaks, and the online networking social.

November 3rd:
In-Person Sessions and Social

Join us for in-person education sessions at the Delta Marriot Toronto Airport Wednesday afternoon, followed by a networking social. See the full schedule here. Registration is just $99!
