As the next phase of the Gardiner Rehabilitation work begins, at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 4 until Spring 2020, the F.G. Gardiner Expressway westbound Sherbourne/Jarvis off-ramp will be fully closed for replacement. Crews will work mostly around-the-clock on a 24/7 basis to accelerate and reduce the length of construction. During construction, drivers should consider alternate routes such as the westbound Gardiner Expressway Yonge-Bay-York off-ramp or the southbound Don Valley Parkway to the Richmond Street exit.
Another phase of construction will also begin this month and will fully replace the north half of the concrete deck and steel girders of the Gardiner Expressway between Jarvis and Cherry Streets. During this construction, the Gardiner Expressway will be reduced to two lanes in each direction from York Street to the Don Valley Parkway. More information about the project is also available at toronto.ca/JarvisToCherry.
